Valentine's Day is approaching and you have no ideas?
Your partner is more inclined to stay at home than spend a romantic evening at the restaurant and you do not know what to do for dinner?
It is not uncommon for couples on Valentine's Day, they decide to stay at home, in this case the dilemma is always the same: what do I prepare?
Of course, online recipes to prepare a dinner with controfiocchi are many, suggestions and menus, even in the name of "without", without gluten or lactose, so today I will not be here to bore you with long strings of ingredients for dishes to prepare, today I'm here to suggest how to give that extra touch to your dinner ...
There is no better Valentine's day to serve an all-golden dinner ...
Gualtiero Marchesi with his "risotto and gold leaf" has definitely marked an era, however he was not the first to use this precious element in the kitchen, the first evidence of the gold used in the recipes date back to ancient Egypt, when the food pharaohs were adorned with thin foils, of course, then it was not only used for decorative purposes, it was a magical food, those who ate it could ingratiate themselves with the sympathy of the Gods.
Leafing through the pages of Il Milione, by Marco Polo, we can find that even in the East was used a lot, the purpose was the same: to ingratiate the deities, while for the Mandarins, tells us Marco Polo, the ultimate elegance was to bring to the table pearl powder, to beautify the most sought after drinks, Dario Comini award-winning barman of the Nottingham Forest in Milan, one of the most famous pubs in the world, has treasured this information and put in paper a very precious cocktail made with vodka and pearl powder , the most beautiful surprise?
The drink contains a real pearl, with which you can then make a beautiful necklace, which best gift for your beloved?
Dario also proposes many cocktails enriched with pure gold, my favorite is undoubtedly the one with rose petals, perfumed and perfect to offer to your beloved during the most romantic evening of the year.
Nottingham Forest is located in Milan, Viale Piave 1.
If Milan is too far you can give your loved one a bottle of Goldwasser, the Polish liquor born in 1500, made with spices, herbs, essential oils and flakes of pure gold, I guarantee that besides being beautiful is really good, we we tried directly in its logo of origin: Gdańsk, of course you do not have to go to get a bottle, even if a trip would be ideal to celebrate Valentine's Day, the Goldwasser is conveniently located on the internet.
In Italy during the Middle Ages, the wealthiest families reduced the gold in straws to decorate the dishes, the wedding dinner of Violante Visconti, in 1386 it was composed of a rich menu, with a large table spread on which roasted goats roasted, quails Stuffed, sturgeon in sauce and partridges, all the dishes were covered entirely in gold.
The gold on the table was also present at the royal courts, could never be missing on the tables of Elizabeth I, which was served at the end of the meal or during tea time, dried fruit and biscuits covered with gold powder, today the 'gold is used in the most "in" from Moscow to New York, this has meant that the ancient craft of the Venetian artisans who work the gold is reevaluated, Mario Berta Battiloro is one of them, the laboratory has been open since 1969 with the will to continue the ancient family trade started back in 1926; the manual processing allows obtaining a superior quality of the product.
If your girlfriend loves to follow the latest trend in make-up, Mario Berta Battiloro also proposes gold for cosmetic use, for a nail art to scream!
Even the pearls were queens of lovers' tables, during the Belle époque to seduce their beloved had usually offered a glass of champagne and pearl powder, during a romantic dinner foods and drinks were served sprinkled with this precious powder, which conferred a magical shine to every dish.
If your "she" loves Audrey Hepburn and would look endlessly at "Breakfast at Tiffany", a cocktail at the pearls will leave her speechless, moreover, pearl powder is said to be aphrodisiac! If you can not find the pearl powder to melt in the votive drinks the solution that suits you is the face mask to the pearl and Acqua Santa of Terme di Chianciano, a real bath of light, perfect as a Valentine's Day gift!
